⚡ GLP-1 Medication Note (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.)
If your client is using a GLP-1 medication, observe the following before treating:
- Wait 72 hours after a GLP-1 injection before treating the injection site (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm).
- Do not treat any area showing redness, bruising, swelling, or tenderness.
- GLP-1 medications commonly cause constipation — confirm your client is having regular bowel movements. Constipation slows lymphatic drainage and will negatively impact body contouring results.
